South Farm is the perfect setting for a quintessential English Country Wedding. There is so much to enjoy, the enchanting gardens, the fine old House, and a Barnyard of ancient buildings. Flanked by the Tudor Barn, the Old Dairy, a Granary, the Bridal Suite and a wing of the house, piglets, peacocks and cackling bantams hold court on one side, wedding guests on the other.
Ceremonies may be held indoors or out for up to 180 guests. There is formal seating for 140 and party capacity of 250, with accommodation for 24 and unlimited camping.
Choose the Summer House for an outdoor Wedding, take drinks and photos on the lawn, lunch in the Barn, have coffee on the Terrace and watch the setting sun. Then dance the night away.
Stroll through the herb garden and potager, its flanking paddocks grazed by rare breed pigs and free range chickens. Beyond lies the smallholding, the source of the freshest seasonal produce imaginable for an astonishingly good Wedding Feast in the Barn. Whatever the season the grounds delight, the shimmering winter garden, the woodland bulbs in spring, blazing summer colours, gigantic brimful pots of ever-changing blooms and autumnal gold and crimson leaves.
Guests may stay in our comfortable but quirky bedrooms, our unique collection of Romany Caravans and Showman’s Wagons, or bring a tent and camp. Handpicked B&Bs bring up the rear.
